JustAFriend is a chat-based visual novel for players who want a slow-burn relationship story with a darker edge. The tone stays grounded and personal, told through phone conversations rather than grand set pieces.

Story

The protagonist buries himself in work and leaves his girlfriend Lisa alone at home, bored and looking for something to fill her time. On a friend's suggestion she joins a site called JustAFriend, a small decision that quietly starts pulling her toward people and situations neither of them expected. What begins as harmless chatting becomes the root of everything that follows.

Gameplay

Play unfolds as a series of chats and images viewed from a phone-style interface, with choices steering Lisa and the people around her toward different outcomes. Decisions can push the story toward romance, cheating, or open NTR and NTS paths, and several storylines run at once with their own characters. Failing or abandoning one thread can close a character off permanently while opening doors to others, so each choice carries lasting weight.
