New Tenants is a visual novel for players who want a grounded relationship drama with dual perspectives. The tone stays serious, with weight given to the choices that pull a couple together or apart.

Story

Forced from their home by the threat of war, an American couple relocates to Eastern Europe with nothing settled — no house, no jobs, no safety net. Alex and Ana have to rebuild their life from scratch in a country that owes them nothing, and the strain tests what they mean to each other. The player's choices decide whether their marriage holds or slowly comes apart.

Gameplay

Most of the story unfolds through Alex's eyes as he navigates work, housing, and the people they meet, with later sections opening up Ana's point of view so both sides of the relationship can be seen. Choices branch into different paths and endings, and the game is built so that infidelity content can largely be avoided depending on the decisions made along the way.
