Overview
Resident Within is an animated horror-action adventure for players who like survival-horror homages with a dark, tense tone. It plays best for those who enjoy narrative-driven exploration over fast arcade action.
Story
Set in a fan-fiction world drawing on the Resident Evil series with a touch of Fallout, the story follows Sybille, Edlin, and other characters navigating a future shaped by the kind of outbreak and decay familiar to fans of that genre.
Gameplay
Players move through point-and-click environments, making choices that carry consequences felt immediately or later in the story. Combat and horror encounters punctuate the exploration, with graphic violence and monster threats woven into the pacing. Multiple protagonists give different perspectives on the same unfolding crisis.
Features
- 3D animated visuals with an internal-view presentation during key scenes
- Branching choices that shape outcomes over time rather than in isolated moments
- Multiple playable characters within a single connected story
Installation
1. Extract and run.
Changelog
v1.9
- This patch revamps the hospital scene, replacing the navigation on the small RPG Maker map, which was causing quite a few technical issues for some of you.
- It introduces new cameras and the ability to interact during cutscenes, which is great for what’s to come.
- And finally, it updates the affinity system to make it more intuitive and interactive.
v1.8
- This patch adds more consequences to your choices, which may take effect immediately or over time.
- The Patreon community has chosen point-and-click exploration, so there will no longer be any classic RPG Maker maps.
- The save file needed to properly apply the patch is the one provided just before Sybille enters the waiting room, with the monster attacking her. It is also recommended in this scene to win the battle after unlocking both sex scenes and, most importantly, Sybille’s slight transformation.
