Overview

Stepmother Effect is a 3D adult visual novel for players who enjoy slow-burn family drama with a heavy, explicit edge. The tone leans moody and voyeuristic rather than comedic.

Story

Set in the near future, you play a 19-year-old living with your stepmother after your father disappeared years ago and was never found. You've had a crush on her for years, watching her leave each day for her demanding job in sharp clothes and heels while you stay home lost in games and porn. The story follows what happens as that unspoken attraction starts to surface at home.

Gameplay

You move through a sandbox home and school setting, checking in on your stepmother and the people around her while managing your own routine. Choices and exploration open up encounters that escalate over time, with the sandbox structure letting you decide how and when to pursue different characters rather than following one fixed script.
